So I went to the farmer’s market today with my sister and we had a blast. Unfortunately we showed up towards the end of it and a lot of the good stuff was gone but I am pleased with what we got anyway. Now it is time to get some inspiration for a delicious healthy meal with my new local produce. Yum! This summer I plan to really drive to all the places that I have wanted to go to for a while now. My biggest place is Lancaster PA. I just love the area so much. My father and I used to take weekend drives out there when I was in high school and I haven’t been there since. So when I go I want to hit the Lancaster Central Market and Kitchen Kettle Village. Have any of you been to Lancaster? Do you live in Lancaster? Any place I should definitely visit? Any help would be much appreciated š —-CMY

I used to live near Lancaster. We went to Kitchen Kettle Village frequently. A family favorite is warm shoe-fly pie!
That is awesome I actually have never tried shoe-fly pie and will love to try it when I get there š
It is very sweet – made with molasses and brown sugar. I love “gobs” – chocolate cake cookies with vanilla cream inside.

I absolutely love the farmers market. I love the crowds that come out in the hunt for only the freshest produce š We have a huge one here in Hamilton (Ontario, Canada) with the only downside being that it’s indoors š¦ BUT its 2 whole floors! Talk about exploration time haha
Wow really?! I would love that! Maybe I will have to venture to Canada one day just to check that out. We have a few small ones in my area in PA, but I’m making a trip out to Lancaster for their central market. Thanks so much for stopping š
